Healthy Hair Insight: Because You Need Another Reason To Try Inversion
The online hair world has been buzzing with claims that inversion increases growth rate from 1/2 per month to an inch a week! While the proof isn't not quite what we'd call scientific, now you have a really good non-hair reason to try test it out. Or perhaps you were already practicing inversion in your yoga and Pilates classes! Check out this article in September's Women's Health Mag about the benefits of inversion for your body and 3 moves to keep it simple. You better believe that I'll be holding my downward dog poses longer and practicing my pilates roll ups more often.
Are you sold on practicing inversion for longer hair and a stronger body?
Besitos!

I am thinking about trying it but I am not completely sold. Learning to do a handstand with my daughter will be cool though, if I get longer hair in the process I won't complain lol
ReplyDeleteSame here Candice! I'd just feel silly hanging upside down solely for my hair. Ha-ha! Plus trying to track pseudo-scientific results, seems kinda difficult.
DeleteHa! I do the supported hair stand when I'm relaxing on the floor watching TV. Maybe I need to do it more often...
ReplyDeleteI just know that I'm going to giggle during my Pilates routine now and hold the inverted poses longer. LOL!
DeleteWill I see you at GNHBC on Sunday?
The buzz is definitely on but honestly i'm not curious or in a hurry, #thatsme
ReplyDeleteOutside of my yoga and Pilates classes---I probably won't make an effort either.
DeleteI have def not been sold on the inversion for longer hair yet, but I was won over for body health in my yoga class. A couple of those poses really help relieve cramps, too! That was the proof that got me :)
ReplyDeleteThe science behind inversion is shakier than my legs in a handstand. Ha-ha!
DeleteThanks for pointing out other benefits to the inversions method. I'm not sold on it for hair growth either, but have been trying it the past few days. I've actually been laying on my bed with my head hanging over the side, just to test out this whole theory. I really haven't noticed much difference yet. Maybe it works for some and not others...idk... will be working on these poses for sure though. Jeni has had me wanting to work on that head stand. lol!
ReplyDeleteIf working towards a healthier body helps with hair growth, than I'm all for it. I can't wait to read about your results!
DeleteI keep on hearing about this, I really want to try it! hope i don't hurt myself! Yoga here i come!
ReplyDeleteYou won't hurt yourself if you don't push yourself too far. Good luck chica!
DeleteInversion is breaking way. Haven't tried it and I don't know if I will.
ReplyDeleteTotally. The fitness benefits make it more and more appealing!
DeleteIt's my first time hearing about it. I would love to try it.
ReplyDeleteCheck out Yahya's (ridiculously) detailed post about it on her blog Pocahontas Secrets: http://pocahontas-secrets.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-inversion-method-1-inch-in-1-week.html
Deletelol My sentiments were the same as many when I first heard about it...but I finally gave it a shot a couple of weeks ago. You can read about my experience here: http://belowthawaist.blogspot.jp/2013/10/upside-down-youre-turning-me-inversion.html
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Gosh, I get giddy for hair science! I'm excited to hear your results!
DeleteI just started on Sunday! I honestly have no way of knowing whether or not it works because I didn't measure at all... lol.
ReplyDeleteSo probably not helpful. But I will definitely measure next month when I will probably try again.
