Healthy Hair Insight: Where to place your part?

Healthy Hair Insight: How to part your hair

I'm not sure if you noticed, but I love a good side part. Its a twist on the traditional centre part actually opens up the face for more dramatic looks. Placement of your part is definitely a personal preference. I like to align my part with the highest point of the eyebrow using a chopstick. You can totally use a rat-tail comb. I just don't own one. Sweep hair to the opposite side then style.

Right, center, or left. What's your favorite part?

Besitos!

  1. I have always had a side part. The only time I have a center parting is when I am in braids but other than that I prefer a side part. Maybe I will try a center part out of my braids soon...

  2. I am a center part girl when my hair is straight, but I prefer side parts when I do no-heat styles.

    1. Weird---I somehow end up at a centre part too when I flat iron too. It's probably because of the way that I go about flat-ironing the sections.

    1. I tossed out my rat tail combs early in my journey. They probably were the devil anyway. Small teeth, always had dirt suck in them...no bueno!

  4. I'm always switching up my parts. No preference here. I do like the chopstick idea though. I sometimes have trouble getting my side parts "just right".

  5. I usually have a side part. I probably need to do something different and try a center part. Change is good :-)

    1. Absolutely. Plus if you're looking for volume, switching your part definitely will give your hair some height. Thanks for your comment chica

    1. Hmm...I wonder how much of my side part is natural and how much of it is forced...
