Sleek and Straight Styles

I took full advantage of my post relaxer heat pass by styling it up to the moon. All of my styles required little manipulation,  low maintenance and high on sass. Here's my sleek and straight style week in review:

Tousled waves at Keyda's baptism. (Congrats again chica!)

Half down loose curls for my family photo shoot (Thanks guys for the suggestion!)
Double Dutch Braid into a bun

Loose up sweep for my sorority sister's bridal shower
Un mil besitos!

  1. These are so cute KLP! I'm especially loving the double dutch braid into a bun. Are there 2 separate braids on each side?

    2. Hi plsssss for the last look how did u tuck ur ends in

    3. Hey Lucy!

This is my favorite go to style. I split my hair down the middle, pull one side to the front, then flat twist the ends pulling forward instead of behind. I flip the twist back across the back of my head and secure with a pin. Repeat on the opposite side. Viola!

I can do a full tutorial if you'd like!

  3. Light bulb moment……………………………..ur last hairdo just gave me a an idea. Instead of one twist on each side how about 2 loose twist close together by ur ears on each side. I will trying that this weekend

On another note, can u recommend a hair moisturizer or leave in conditioner apart from smoothing lotion that contains slippery elm?

    1. Ohh! That sounds cute! Let me know how that variation turns out! One thing that I love about these styles is that they "legs"; Meaning that once you've mastered it, you can change up small pieces of the puzzle and create a completely different style!

I just checked my stash of leave-ins; I don't have anything with slippery elm. Can you tell me more about it?

      Thanks for commenting! besitos

    2. Behentrimonium Methosulfate, slippery eml, and Marshmallow Root all have similar benefits

Honestly, after my recently discovery I really don’t think I could every use a moisturizer again that doesn’t contain at least one of these. Now, if u can find a moisturizer that has all 3……….HEAVEN!

Not heavy or greasy at all. u almost have that blow dried look with the round brushes that give u a bounce (think of Oprahs hair)

Great for detangling…GREAT! Life has never been so fuss free
      Extremely moisture

    1. Braid prevent my styles from getting boring. Keep trying to braid though! After some practice, you'll have that aha! moment then turn into a braiding machine!
